GREENVILLE — Greenville City Manager George Bosanic received his annual review prepared by the Greenville City Council during its Jan. 22 meeting.
Through the review, Greenville City Mayor John Hoppough said Bosanic performs his duties for the community at a good to excellent level.
“I truly appreciate the support and direction the City Council has given me over the last year,” Bosanic said. “We have a great team and we are going to need a total team effort going in to the coming year to address the challenges we face.”
Through this past year, Bosanic has continued to operate under a balanced budget without affecting services that are provided, Hoppough said in the review. He noted Bosanic also continues to retain businesses and attract new opportunities.
“The city of Greenville continues to receive a positive review from our auditors,” Hoppough said. “This, and all other accomplishments for out community are in no small way attributable to Mr. Bosanic’s efforts and passion for the city of Greenville.”
Because healthcare and utility costs on the rise, and with Michigan finding ways to reduce revenues for cities, Bosanic said the city will be trying to protect its integrity of city cervices despite the circumstances.
“We have very forward thinkers on the city council and they care very much about this city,” Bosanic said. “Somehow, we will continue to look for ways to persevere.”
Hoppough said Bosanic takes pride in the community and it shows within his performance.
“He is a genuine asset to our community,” Hoppough said.
