Boys basketball

Butternut 79, SE GR Homeschoolers 66: Butternut, playing without leading scorer Josh Snyder, beat SE Grand Rapids Thursday behind David Crouse’s 23, Caleb Wyman’s 21 and Nate Crawford’s 13. SE Grand Rapids was led by Tyler Endsley with 16. Next game: at Grand Rapids against Wyoming Homeschoolers Monday.

MP Sacred Heart 67, Vestaburg 45: The Wolverines got 27 points from Mason Darmody, but no other player had more than six the rest of the way in an MSAC loss to the Irish Friday night. Records: 3-10 and 1-6. Next game: at Montabella Monday to make up a postponed game.

Wyoming 86, Belding 46: The Redskins were outscored 33-8 in the final quarter to watch an 11-point deficit balloon in Friday’s O-K Blue Conference game. Garrett Strotheide was Belding’s leading scorer with 14 points, and Brendan Zuver and Nick Price had 11 each for 36 of the Redskins’ 46 points. Records: 3-10 and 1-6. Next game: at home against Sparta Tuesday.

Cedar Springs 70, Greenville 50: The Yellow Jackets were outscored 24-8 in the first quarter in losing to the Red Hawks Friday night. Greg Krusniak had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Ian Cooper added 11 points for Greenville. Cameron Link hit six triples as part of 23 points for Cedar Springs. Records: 5-11 and 1-6. Next game: at home against Forest Hills Eastern Tuesday.

Girls basketball

Lakeview 46, Central Montcalm 36: The Wildcats knocked off the Green Hornets in a CSAA game Friday night. Lakeview got 25 of their 46 points from Andrea Henry, while Central was led by Kaden Everingham with 10. Records: Lakeview is 13-5 and 11-5, Central is 4-12 and 4-10. Next games: Lakeview is at home against White Cloud Tuesday, Central is at home against Reed City Tuesday.

Greenville 45, Cedar Springs 42 (OT): The Yellow Jackets got three points in overtime from Leah Somerfield to beat the Red Hawks in an O-K Bronze game Friday night, clinching a share of the conference title for the first time in 23 years. Those three overtime points were part of 27 Somerfield scored, but no other Greenville player had more than six. Records: 14-3 and 6-1. Next game: at home against Forest Hills Eastern Tuesday.

CC-Crystal 43, Montabella 31: The Eagles outscored the Mustangs 11-3 in the second quarter and 16-8 in the fourth quarter to win the MSAC matchup Thursday night. CC-Crystal was led by Mikayla Duflo with 15 points, while Montabella got 13 from Sarah Miller. Records: CC-Crystal is 15-2 and 6-1, Montabella is 9-6 and 5-3. Next games: CC-Crystal is at home against Coleman Thursday, Montabella is at Harrison Monday.

Wyoming 67, Belding 28: The shorthanded Redskins were hammered by the Wolves in an O-K Blue Conference game Friday night, scoring seven points in each quarter. Mackenzie Breimayer led Belding with 11 points and Greta Wilker added eight points and seven rebounds. Records: 9-10 and 4-7. Next game: at Sparta Tuesday.
