A Riverdale woman was arrested Thursday by Montcalm County Sheriff’s officers on multiple counts of fraud and theft charges.
Tabatha Rae Bartlett, 34, was arraigned on seven counts of forgery, one count of stealing a financial transaction device and being a habitual offender fourth offense.
Bartlett remains in custody and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
She is accused of taking checks and forging the signature of the account holder. The checks were passed at locations in Montcalm and Gratiot counties. The amount totaled more than $3,500.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work with the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office on the case.
