Greenville man arrested for soliciting a child for immoral purposes

IONIA — After investigating the complaint of an adult soliciting a 14-year old-minor child via the Internet, the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gary Michael Miller, 19, of Greenville.

Miller was arraigned on Tuesday on the felony charges of solicitation of a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime. He is currently held at the Ionia County Jail with a $10,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office investigation of Gary Miller has revealed the likelihood of other minor children in the Belding and Greenville area being solicited for sex by the suspect, and potentially receiving pornography via Internet messaging. Gary Miller uses the alias names of Gary Lee Damon Miller, Gary Lee Miller and Gary Lee Damon.

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office has been working with the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office on this case involving juveniles from Montcalm County.
