Comstock Park 6, Belding 4: The Redskins were unable to hang the first loss of the season on the Panthers Wednesday, as Comstock Park moved to 4-0 on the season after the O-K Blue Conference win. Lakeview drops two: The Wildcats fell to the Chippewa Hills Warriors in a CSAA doubleheader Wednesday by identical 6-4 scores, giving Lakeview five games out of the seven where they have scored exactly four runs. Brad Hamlin took the loss in the opener, pitching the last four innings and allowing five runs on four hits and four walks, striking out two. Kyler Ridgeway was the only Wildcat with two hits, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Calvin Brackett was the losing pitcher in the second game, going the distance and scattering three hits and four strikeouts but walking six. Hamlin was 2-for-4 in the nightcap. Records: 0-7 and 0-6. Greenville takes two from Cedar Springs: The Yellow Jackets took a pair of games from the Red Hawks in an O-K Bronze Conference game Wednesday. Greenville scored six times in the seventh inning to break open a 1-1 tie and beat the Red Hawks 7-1 in the opener. Lexii Canterbury got the win for Greenville, allowing two hits and striking out eight but walking five. Nikota Howe, Liz Niemiec and Kae Page had two hits each in the win. Greenville won the second game 9-5, coming from 5-2 down to get the win. Canterbury came on in relief and got the win, allowing one hit in 5 1/3 innings, walking three and fanning four. Sarah Newhouse went 4-for-4, page was 2-for-4 and Howe was 2-for-3 with a home run. Records: 4-1 and 4-1. Next game: at Cedar Springs today.

CC-Crystal 21, Ashley 0: The Eagles’ Katie Wilcox threw a three-inning no-hitter at the Bears in the MSAC win Wednesday. Wilcox struck out five and walked two in the mercy-rule win, then went 3-for-3 at the plate, including a home run. Raelynn Ferguson was 3-for-4 with five RBIs and Mackenzie Geister added two hits. Coleman 12, Montabella 0: The Mustangs got bit by the injury bug and was down to just eight players in the final three innings of the MSAC loss to the Comets Wednesday.
