BELDING — The Belding Fire Department and Ionia County Resource Recovery will be partnering to hold the annual household hazardous waste collection.
The event will happen from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 18, at the old Belding Hospital parking lot, located in the 1400 block of W. State Street.
Residents can bring waste such as sprays, cleaners, flashlights, rechargeable batteries, chemicals, insecticides, pesticides, antifreeze, oils, stains, cell phones and nonlatex paint.
Items such as explosives, ammunition, latex paints, appliances, auto batteries, smoke detectors and business waste are not accepted.
There will also be an electronics waste collection. Unused or discarded items like computers, laptops, monitors, TVs, stereos, video games and DVD players are welcome.
Large appliances are not accepted.
