LANGSTON — A Langston woman who was believed to be missing was located in her own home this afternoon.

Irene Bristol, 72, of Langston, has dementia. She was last seen at her home near Willard Road shortly after 9 a.m. this morning. She was wearing red and yellow pajamas and slippers. She is 5-foot, 2-inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. today, Bristol was located actively hiding from officers in the basement of her home. The Michigan-style basement only has access from the outside.

Once Bristol was located, Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services assessed her condition and released her.

Assisting sheriff’s deputies were Michigan State Police, the Lakeview District Fire Department and the Lakeview Police Department.
