Vestaburg Community Days returns July 19-20

VESTABURG — The second annual Vestaburg Community Days is set for July 19-20.

A new event this year will be a street dance from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday

Also new this year, outstanding members of the Vestaburg community will be honored at 7:30 p.m. Friday and featured in a parade at 11 a.m. Saturday down Main Street. Those being honored as pioneers of Vestaburg include Art Adams, Andrew Alexander, Nick Bigelow, Junior Erskin and Mac and Winnie McCormick.

An art show is slated for 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Vestaburg Depot. A vendor and craft sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Richland Township Hall. A car show will start at noon Saturday behind the Richland Fire Department.

The sixth annual Richland Fire Department pig roast is from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday behind the fire department and a community picnic is from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday on Main Street. A community choir concert will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday in the commons area of Vestaburg Community School.

The festival will end with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Vestaburg Community School athletic complex.
