SIDNEY TOWNSHIP — A 37-year-old Sheridan woman sustained minor injuries in a hit and run accident that took place around 11:58 a.m. Monday on Holland Lake Road near Derby Road.

According to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, Krista Sua was walking westbound on Holland Lake Road when a vehicle traveling the same direction struck her from behind.

The vehicle — an older, burgundy truck, possibly a Ford Ranger — did not stop at the scene and turned northbound onto Derby Road. No description of the occupant is available.

Sua walked to a nearby residence where she called 911. Deputies responded to the scene but were unable to find the truck or its driver.

Sua was treated at the scene by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services, and then taken to Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (989) 831-7590 or (989) 831-7593.
