PIERSON – A teenage boy has been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in at the Pierson Trading Post.
Jheramyah Harold Fridline, 17, of Pierson, was arrested Monday by Montcalm County sheriff’s deputies after an Aug. 13 break-in at the Pierson Trading Post. Fridline is charged with breaking and entering, alcohol possession and tobacco possession. He is currently being held on a $1,000 bond.
Investigators, working in conjunction with the Michigan State Police and responding to tips from the community, believe another suspect was involved in the crime as well – a 15-year-old youth from Pierson. Reports are being forwarded to the Montcalm County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges for the youth through Probate Court.
A small amount of property was recovered during the investigation and evidence tying the two teens to the crime was found.
The case remains under investigation.
