Vestaburg 63, Baldwin 8: The Wolverines mercied Baldwin when the game was called with four minutes to go because Baldwin had so many injuries they were down to 12 players. Austin Myers led Vestaburg wth five touchdowns passing, throwing 11 completions in 14 attempts for 246 yards and two picks. DeWayne McKinney had two of those passing touchdowns as part of 4 catches for 85 yards. Christian Benevides added two catches for 105 yards and a score, four carries for 86 yards, 11 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery. Austin Blanks, Christian Gostomski and John Cain had touchdowns also. Ryckman carried the ball seven times for 113 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown. Record: 3-0. Next game: at home against CC-Crystal Friday.

Morrice 22, Montabella 14 (OT): The Mustangs were downed by Morrice Friday when Morrice scored a quarterback keeper for a 10-yard touchdown in overtime. Tommy Wisner had a two-yard touchdown run and Landen Burns added a 34-yard reception from Brady Burggren for a score. Burggren finished 14-of-22 passing for 154 yards and an interception and added six carries for 44 yards. Zach Taubitz had 20 rushes for 69 yards and four catches for 25 yards. Burns led in tackles with 16 and Burggren added nine more. Record: 1-2. Next game: at home against Coleman Friday.

Central Montcalm 26, Big Rapids 22: The Green Hornets got a big game from Keegan James in beating the Cardinals in a CSAA game Friday night. James had 28 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns, threw 11 times, completing seven for 84 yards and led in tackled with 12. Todd Switzer added an 18-yard run and Trenton Braman had a six-yard score in the second quarter. Jason Beckley led in receiving with three grabs for 43 yards. Bo Studley added nine tackles and Doug Litwiller had an 88-yard fumble recovery that he almost scored on. Records: 2-1 and 2-1. Next game: at Morley Stanwood Friday.

CC-Crystal 49, Baldwin 8: The Eagles won a cross-divisional MSAC matchup Friday night, getting two touchdowns over 70 yards from Will Beedy, two touchdowns from Robert Failing and a single touchdown each from Garner Cusack, Zach Pringle and Aaron Haines on a pass from Rhett Pringle. Beedy finished with 184 yards on eight carries, Dallas O’Green added 79 carries on three rushes, Failing finished with 56 yards on four carries and Cusack had three carries for 45 yards. Record: 3-0. Next game: at Vestaburg Friday.

Greenville 42, Thornapple Kellogg 38. No stats submitted. Record: 1-2. Next game: home vs. Byron Center Frday.
