Thieves steal cigarettes, liquor and DVDs from Howard City store

HOWARD CITY — Police are asking the public for help after thieves broke into a Howard City store and stole “a very large amount” of items.

RJ’s Liquor at 214 S. Ensley St. was broken into sometime Sunday night or Monday morning, according to Howard City Police Chief Steve DeWitt.

“Suspects gained entry by smashing a glass front door,” DeWitt said.

The suspect(s) stole approximately 50 cartons of cigarettes, 25 bottles of liquor and 10 DVD movies.
