Man injured in hit and run near Sheridan

SHERIDAN — A 20-year-old man was injured Friday around 10:09 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.

According to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, Devon Lee Hollenbaugh was walking south on M66 south of Holland Lake Road when a southbound vehicle struck him with its passenger-side mirror before driving away.

Hollenbaugh was taken to Sheridan Community Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Witnesses to the accident said the vehicle was possibly a van. Mirror parts found at the scene are likely from a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander, police say.
