Boys basketball

Lakeview 61, Hesperia 40: The Wildcats remained undefeated after getting a CSAA win over the Panthers Friday night. Lakeview was led by Brad Hamlin with 15 points and Shawn Lindsey and Nate Shurlow with 10 each. Records: 5-0 and 4-0. Next game: at Central Montcalm Tuesday.

Cedar Springs 88, Greenville 55: The Yellow Jackets have lost two straight after the Red hawks won their O-K Bronze game Friday night. Ethan Morris and Ian Cooper led Greenville with nine points, while Neil Frank added seven points.. Cedar Springs got 26 points from Cam Link in the win. Records: 4-2 and 0-1. Next game: at home against Grand Rapids West Catholic.

Wyoming 80, Belding 50: The Redskins were outscored 40-16 in the middle two quarters to lose to the Wolves in an O-K Blue Conference matchup Friday night. Kole Hart led Belding with 16 points and 10 rebounds while Nick Price added nine points. Records: 2-4 and 0-1. Next game: at home against Sparta Tuesday.

Spring Lake 66, Tri County 47: The Vikings scored only six points in the third quarter of their Lakes 8 Conference loss to the Lakers Friday night. Kyle Bakhan led Tri County with 12 points and Ryne Dailey added 11. Records: 1-5 and 0-3. Next game: at CC-Crystal Tuesday.

Newaygo 71, Central Montcalm 29: The Green Hornets were held to just five points in the second half of their CSAA loss to the Lions Friday night. 16 of the 29 points came from Lane Ledford while no other Central Player had more than six. Records: 4-2 and 2-2. Next game: at home against Lakeview Tuesday.


Girls basketball

Wyoming 61, Belding 47: The Redskins were beat by the Wolves in the first O-K Blue Conference game for Belding Friday night. Mackenzie Briemayer scored 17 points and Monica Baylis added 12 for the Redskins in the loss. Records: 4-2 and 0-1. Next game: at Sparta Tuesday.
