Girls basketball

Montabella 45, Ithaca 30: The Mustangs outscored the Yellowjackets 30-11 in the second half to pull off the nonconference win on Monday. Sarah Miller led the Mustangs with 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Taylor Smith also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Smith also had four assists and three steals. Krista Daws had eight points. Record: 5-3 (2-1). Next game: at home Friday against Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart.

FH Central 43, Greenville 42: The Yellow Jackets lost their first game of the season on Monday in a makeup against the Rangers at home. Greenville led by one point after three quarters, but were outscored just enough (10-8) in the final quarter to fall. Leah Somerfield and Nikota Howe each scored 11 points for the Yellow Jackets. Landon Kemp added nine points. Somerfield grabbed eight rebounds. Jessica Fuller and Sophia Sanfilippo each scored 10 points to lead the Rangers. Record: 6-1 (1-0). Next game: at Grand Rapids West Catholic today.

Boys Bowling

Portland St. Patrick 29, CC-Crystal 1: The Shamrocks cruised to victory on the lanes against the Eagles on Monday. The Eagles lost the two Baker games 144-121 and 190-100. They lost the two Peterson games 784-537 and 904-586. Patrick Gondek led the Eagles with scores of 187 and 158.

Girls Bowling

Portland St. Patrick 25, CC-Crystal 5: The Shamrocks defeated the Eagles on Monday: The Shamrocks split the two Baker games 157-77 and 134-143. St. Patrick won the Peterson games 731-523 and 797-466. Morgan Carman led the Eagles with scores of 155 and 134.
