Montabella 53, Vestaburg 18: The Mustangs beat their arch rivals handily in an MSAC matchup Wednesday night that was a makeup game from before Christmas break. Taylor Smith led all scorers, canning 28 points including eight three-pointers. Sarah Miller added 12 to the win. Records: 6-3 and 3-1. Next game: at home against Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart Friday.

CC-Crystal 44, Tri County 25: The Eagles took down the Vikings in a non-conference game Wednesday night, led by Mackenzie Geister with 13 points, Tori Christiansen with 11 and Mikayla Duflo with 10. Tri County got a team-high 11 from Alexis Firovich. Records: CC-Crystal is 7-1, Tri County is 5-3. Next games: CC-Crystal is at home against Coleman Friday, Tri County is at Cedar Springs Saturday.


CC-Crystal goes 2-0: The Eagles kept their CMAC record perfect with two wins on Wednesday night. The Eagles defeated Fulton 67-12 and Dansville 54-17. Record: 19-2 (4-0). Next match: at Ithaca on Saturday.

Allendale 42, Belding 23: The Redskins lost an O-K Blue Conference matchup with the Falcons Wednesday night. Getting wins on the night for Belding were Jesse Scheidel (130 pounds), Mason Krieger (119), Nate Cooley (125), Brady Phelps (140), Blake Rodarmer (171) and Neil McCully (189). Next match: at the Lakeview Invitational Saturday.
