Greenville first at West Ottawa: The Yellow Jackets won the West Ottawa individual wrestling tournament on Saturday. Greenville finished with 217.5 points to beat out Grand Ledge with 209. Grand Haven was third with 140. Greenville champions were Nate Baker (112), Will Parmelee (130), Alec Ward (140) and Jake Hopkins (152). Second place finishes went to Tate Jeffrey (135), Reed Cox (160) and Andrew Bowen (215). Alex Budge (125) and Luke Bontrager (171) finished third. Next match: at Grand Rapids West Catholic Wednesday.
CC-Crystal fourth at Ithaca: The Eagles placed fourth out of 16 teams at Ithaca on Saturday. Hesperia placed first with 231 points. Central takes eighth at Ithaca: The Green Hornets took eighth out of 16 teams at the Ithaca Invitational Saturday, getting four wrestlers on the medal stand at the meet. Taking third-place finishes in their weight class were Trenton Braman (145), Dakota James (152) and Cory Kindlle (285), while Cody VeltKamp (125) took fifth in his class.
