Lakeview 58, Newaygo 54: The Wildcats came back from an eight point halftime deficit to win the make-up CSAA game against the Lions Wednesday night. Nate Shurlow led Lakeview with 25 points and Brad Hamlin added 18 for 43 of the Wildcats 58 points. Records: 14-1 (13-1). Next game: at home against Central Montcalm Friday.

Central Montcalm 58, White Cloud 38: The Green Hornets set up their showdown with the Wildcats Friday with a win in a make-up game against the Indians Wednesday night. Lane Ledford had another double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Jesse Hoffman added 15 points to the win. White Cloud got 10 points each from A.J. Ashunion and Daric Paul. Records: 8-8 (6-8). Next game: at Lakeview Friday.

Vestaburg 56, St. Louis 45: The Wolverines picked up a non-conference win over the Sharks Wednesday night with three players taking up 41 of the 56 points. Jared Hilden had 15 points, Keegan Scott added 14 and Collin Dove had 12 for Vestaburg. Dakota Lobski had St. Louis’ team high with 18 points. Record: 7-6. Next game: at Webberville Monday.


CM, Tri County fall in regionals: The Central Montcalm Hornets lost in the regional semifinal on Wednesday to CSAA rival Chippewa Hills 51-27. Tri County defeated farwell 57-22 in the semifinal, but lost to Chippewa Hills 37-24 in the finals. Chippewa Hills advances to the team state finals at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
