McBRIDE — Three fire departments responded Saturday afternoon to a house fire at 4141 Division St. in the village that is believed to have started on the second level.
Chief Randy Linton with the Home Township Police Department, which provided mutual aid on the scene, said the flames were mostly contained to the second level, but there was smoke and water damage throughout the entire home. The extent of the damage is unknown, he said.
Chief Mike Wyczesany of the Day Township Fire Department, which was the primary department, could not be reached this morning.
Linton said there were residents home when the fire started shortly after 3 p.m., but they escaped the home and did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
