REYNOLDS TOWNSHIP — A man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-car crash by the Skate Estate just north of Howard City on Saturday night.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a crash at Howard City-Edmore Road (M-46) and Reed Road around 11:03 p.m.

Deputies determined a 19-year-old Howard City woman was leaving the Skate Estate on M-46, driving a 2005 Ford Ranger, when she pulled into the path of a 2008 Suzuki that was westbound on M-46.

The Suzuki, driven by a 50-year-old Otsego man, left the roadway and caught fire. A firefighter arrived shortly after the collision and was able to put the fire out.

The man was transported to Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview with minor injuries.

The woman and her two 15-year-old passengers sustained minor injuries, but were not in need of medical attention.

The Lakeview Police Department, Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services and Howard City Fire Department assisted at the scene of the crash.
