FREMONT — The Chippewa Hills Warriors claimed the CSAA jamboree on Tuesday at Waters Edge Golf Club in Fremont.
Hesperia was the host school.
Chippewa Hills fired a 353 to edge out Big Rapids with 358.
The Lakeview Wildcats placed third with 379, while the Central Montcalm Hornets were sixth with 448. In between the Wildcats and Hornets were Reed City (430) and Hesperia (439).
“We are keeping consistent with our team scoring, however, we are still struggling to get all cylinders firing at once,” Lakeview coach Brian Corwin said. “I look forward to each outing as that may be the time we put all the pieces together and produce a team score more indicative on our capabilities.”
Jon Wandel led the Wildcats with an 85. Ben Outman added an 89, Jon King 98 and Jake Park 107.
“Ben put together his best round of the season so far,” Corwin said. “Jon Wandel shot 85 to help us to a third place finish.”
Josh Mitchell led the Hornets with 98. Caleb Daggett shot 113, Mason Ferguson 117 and Nate Saladin 120.
“We need to keep working on being a better ball striking team,” Hornets coach Gary Buchholz said.
Lakeview will participate in the Greenville Invitational on Thursday at Brookside Golf Course, while the Hornets compete next on Tuesday in a CSAA jamboree hosted by Lakeview, also at Brookside.
