PIERSON TOWNSHIP — The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday afternoon crash on Waterwheel Road near West County Line Road, in which one person was injured.

A 1997 Dodge Caravan was traveling westbound on Waterwheel Road when it lost control, ran off the road and struck a tree around 2:30 p.m.

The passenger, a 20-year-old man from Sand Lake, was flown to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
