PINE TOWNSHIP — Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Pine Township on Sunday evening.

Montcalm County Sheriff Deputies responded to the accident at approximately 6:42 p.m. at the corner of Gravel Ridge and Coral roads.

Gloria Clayton, a 60-year-old Coral woman, was traveling east on Coral Road with her passenger, Robert Andresen, a 58-year-old Coral man, in a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup. Clayton collided with a northbound vehicle on Gravel Ridge Road. The northbound vehicle was a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 70-year-old Felix Bosco of Frankenmuth. Patricia Bosco, a 68-year-old Frankenmuth woman, and Dorothy Debolt, a 90-year-old Bay City woman, were passengers in the Traverse.

The investigation determined that Bosco failed to yield right of way to the eastbound F-150 and pulled into the path of the F-150. Patricia Bosco was transported from the scene by AeroMed to Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids where she was treated and reported to be in stable condition. Dorothy Debolt was transported by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services to Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview with minor injuries and is also reported to be in stable condition. Felix Bosco, Gloria Clayton and Robert Andresen sustained minor injuries and elected to seek their own treatment.

Felix Bosco, Gloria Clayton and Robert Andresen were all seat belted. Patricia Bosco and Dorothy Debolt were back seat passengers and neither was seat belted. There were no indications of other contributing factors that led to the crash.

In additional the Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services and AeroMed, Maple Valley Fire Department, Lakeview Fire Department and the Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
