GREENVILLE — Annual housekeeping was the main agenda at Greenville Public Schools Board of Education meeting Monday night.
The six board members in attendance voted to renew two-year administrative contracts to Korie Crawford, John Gilchrist, Mary Beth Taylor, Brian Zdanowski, Leigh Acker, Jack Gilbert, Todd Boyer, Susan Ayres, Gretchen Baarman, Michelle Blaszczynski, Mike Walsh, Linda Van Houten, Ken Poor, Ron Hofmann, Kathy Bresnahan and Leanne Eyer.
They also voted to approve the purchase of a writing program titled “Units of Study for Argument, Information and Narrative Writing” Middle School Series Bundle for grades six through eight.
“This will compliment learning skills in English as a whole, and the craft of writing and syntax,” said Michelle Blaszczynski, chief academic officer.
The board also, during an organizational meeting, elected the board officers for the upcoming year. All board members remained in previous positions with Janet Ralph as president, Norice Rasmussen as vice president, Ron Billmeier as secretary, James Anderson as treasurer and Rocky Hansen and John Raven as trustees.
The board also discussed the new senior money class, a two-week summer course teaching finances.
“It is small in numbers, but it is a great opportunity and is making a difference to a handful of students,” High School Principal Jeff Wright said.
