HOWARD CITY — Two Howard City businesses are hoping to earn $100,000 from Mission Main Street Grants.

Kindel & Co. at 133 E. Edgerton St. and and KC Sales & Service Inc. at 338 Willow St. and 707 Ensley St. have both applied for one of the $100,000 grants from Chase’s Mission Main Street Grants.

Kindel & Co. sells a variety of antiques and vintage, furniture and home decor. KC Sales & Services does parts sales and service for manufacturing, fabrication and design.

Applicants must submit questionnaires outlining their business plans that will result in the growth of the businesses, but they also must receive at least 250 votes to be eligible to compete for one of the grants.

Customers, fans and community members can show support for Kindel & Co. and KC Sales & Services by voting online via a link at Kindel’s Facebook page (search “Kindel & Co.” on Facebook, scroll down to find the link and then vote). The deadline to vote is Friday.

Through Mission Main Street Grants, Chase will award $2 million in total to 20 small businesses across America. All businesses that apply for a grant and meet eligibility requirements will receive access to a small business webcast by premier sponsor LinkedIn. In addition, the 20 grant recipients will receive a trip to the LinkedIn headquarters in California.

Grant recipients will be announced in September.

Call Kindel & Co. at (231) 937-9090 or KC Sales & Services at (231) 937-7886 for more information about either business.
