GREENVILLE — Members of Greenville City Council voted unanimously Tuesday evening to award a bid for an installment purchase agreement (IPA) in connection with televising equipment for the Public Services Department.

According to Greenville City Clerk/Treasurer Norice Rasmussen, the IPA will be used to finance the purchase of televising equipment in connection with the sewer and wastewater (SAW) grant the city has received.

Rasmussen said the city solicited for bids and received seven, with the lowest bid being a tie between Greenville Commercial Bank and Hastings City Bank.

Based on locality, Rasmussen recommended the council go with Greenville Commercial Bank, as both banks offered an interest rate of 1.64 percent per annum.
