Multiple police agencies respond to Belding meth lab bust

Central Michigan Enforcement Team (CMET) detectives assisted the Belding Police Department with the investigation of a methamphetamine lab at a Belding residence on Sunday.

Belding officers went to the residence attempting to locate a subject with an outstanding warrant. At the time of their arrival, the suspect was actively cooking meth in the garage of the residence using the one pot method.

JUST IN: Belding man arrested for choking Crystal woman, throwing her out of car

Two people searching for morel mushrooms near Greenville came across an assaulted and injured woman Monday evening.
Two people were walking on Berridge Road south of Fenwick Road around 7 p.m. when they heard a woman calling for help. They found a 19-year-old Crystal woman who was badly injured. They drove the woman to Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville.

JUST IN: Greenville man found dead along road, foul play not expected

A Greenville man was found along the side of the road Monday afternoon, but foul play is not expected.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 3000 block of West County Farm Road around 4 p.m. after a body was reported lying in the ditch alongside the road.
