Brush fire spreads behind Ed Koehn
EUREKA TOWNSHIP – An apparent brush fire extended into debris piled behind the Ed Koehn auto dealerships, causing tense moments for firefighters.
The Greenville Department of Public Safety responded to the fire behind Ed Koehn Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Gary Valentine said a brush pile apparently was burning and spread into some Fiberglas panels and telephone poles due to dry, breezy weather.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly and determined it had not spread much beyond the burning debris. They cleared the scene around 11:45 a.m.
