STANTON – A 25-week-old infant died early Saturday morning after Montcalm County sheriff deputies received a 911 call that she was not breathing.
Montcalm County Emergency Services attempted to resuscitate the infant before she was transported to Sheridan Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
An investigation has revealed that the 25-year-old mother from the Sunshine Canyon Apartments in Stanton had another infant die about five years earlier under similar circumstances.
Montcalm County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the case. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
