GREENVILLE — Police are seeking a suspect in a break-in Tuesday evening at the Handy Market in Greenville.
A customer found the glass front door smashed Wednesday morning. Interim Greenville Public Safety Director Gary Valentine said a rock was thrown through the door of the store.
The only items the owners found missing were energy pills and synthetic marijuana, Valentine said. Synthetic marijuana is an incense-like item commonly known at K2 or Spice.
“It is legal,” Valentine said.
Police are not sure exactly when the break-in occurred.
This investigation, along with the Jan. 5 armed robbery at the Family Dollar, is ongoing, Valentine said.
If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to call Greenville Department of Public Safety at (616) 754-9161 or the Silent Observer at 1-866-774-2345.
