Sheridan man suffered serious injuries from morning accident
A 19-year-old Sheridan man was treated for serious head and back injury after being ejected from his vehicle at 4 a.m. this morning.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the rollover accident on W. M-57 near Lake Road. Christopher Niles was driving a Ford Explorer eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway, where the vehicle rolled multiple times.
Niles was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle.
AeroMed transported Niles to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids to be treated for apparent serious head and back injuries.
M-57 was shut down for nearly three hours while officers investigated the accident, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Greenville Department of Public Safety and Montcalm County Emergency Services.
The sheriff’s deputies will continue to investigate this accident.
