Carson City woman dies in Oakfield Township crash

A Carson City woman died Wednesday after sustaining injuries from a four-vehicle crash in Oakfield Township on Tuesday.

No bomb located during threat at Belding Party Store

BELDING – An employee called 911 after receiving a bomb threat with specific instructions on how to exit the building at the Belding Party Store.
Police were dispatched at 7:08 p.m. to the store located at 304 N. Bridge, said Belding Police Chief Dale Nelson.

Six fire departments responded to a fully involved barn fire that housed dairy cattle late Friday morning. The Maple Valley Township Fire Department was called to 477 Marble Road at 11:25 a.m. with a report that the roof of the barn was on fire.

Police investigate break-in at Greenville’s Handy Market

Police are seeking a suspect in a break-in Tuesday evening at the Handy Market in Greenville. A customer found the glass front door smashed Wednesday morning. Interim Greenville Public Safety Director Gary Valentine said a rock was thrown through the door of the store.

Vehicle total loss after morning fire

Mark Miller was driving his sports utility vehicle, which he purchased earlier this week, when it went into flames on Friday. Miller, of Greenville, was driving on West Greenville Drive when he noticed smoke coming out of the vents.
