It is a sign of a good team when players from the winning team aren’t satisfied with just a dominating win. The Central Montcalm girls basketball team took control of Tuesday night’s game against the Montabella Mustangs early to earn its fourth victory of the year with a 53-20 win, but Bree Brasington wasn’t happy with her team’s performance despite the win.

BLANCHARD — Central Montcalm’s boys basketball team played defense to coach Dan Basom’s liking in the first half. It was enough to push the Green Hornets past Montabella 66-40 Tuesday night.
If there is one thing Shaun Balhorn won’t have to worry about for this year’s wrestling season, it’s numbers. The Montabella Mustangs wrestling team has a healthy number of 25 grapplers taking to the mat, with 22 of them being freshmen and sophomores.
