34 area athletes qualify for track state finals

The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) track and field regional meets were good to area athletes on Friday and Saturday. In all, 34 athletes from area schools qualified in their respective divisions for the MHSAA state finals on May 30.

Montabella girls, Coleman boys win MSAC track meet

The Mid-State Activities Conference (MSAC) is very competitive in track and field. On Wednesday, at Montabella High School, the host Mustangs edged Carson City-Crystal 124-112 on the girls’ side. Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart was close behind with 91 and followed by Vestaburg (20 points) and Coleman (4).
