One confirmed dead in Sheridan two-car accident

SHERIDAN – One person is confirmed dead and another was flown to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids after crashing in Sheridan.

According to Sgt. Mike Williams of the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, two vehicles, a blazer and mini-van, were involved in an accident at the intersection of M-66 and Sessions Road.

“One person is confirmed to be a fatal,” Williams said. “The other was flown by Aero-Med to Grand Rapids.”

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, and closed a section of M-66 from Sessions to M-57.

Williams said more information will be released after the preliminary investigation in complete.
